La Fosse at Cranborne
La Fosse is a restaurant with rooms run by husband and wife team Mark Hartstone (chef proprietor) and his wife Emmanuelle. Set in the beautiful countryside of Dorset, they provide six quality rooms, as well as delicious home cooked dinners with friendly and efficient service, in idyllic rural surroundings, perfect to explore the Dorset country side and Jurassic coast.
The food is traditional English with a dash of international including old time favourites from the past. However, they are always happy to do something special for you if at all possible or should you have any dietary requirements. (Please let them know in advance)
Purchasing produce from fine, top of the range suppliers is very important to them, for example Cranborne Estate with its rare bread cattle and pigs just around the corner, is regarded as one of the best.
Using smaller, local suppliers on the doorstep and their passion for producing good quality food, means high freshness and commitment. The Hartstones use local, seasonal and free range ingredients from Dorset, Wiltshire and Hampshire.
