Moonfleet Manor
Moonfleet Manor, overlooking the world famous Chesil Beach and the Fleet Lagoon, is set in the heart of some of England’s least discovered, yet most staggeringly beautiful countryside. This handsome Georgian manor presides over a naturally inspirational location of world heritage status.
Moonfleet is unique and like no other hotel you will ever visit. The light is extraordinarily clear and the sense of tranquillity envelopes you as you survey the rugged beauty of a landscape honed by thousands of years of westerly storms. It’s easy to imagine wreckers luring old vessels onto Chesil Beach to be looted. Legend has it, the booty was stored in the local church!
For fine dining in Weymouth, our lovely Mediterranean style, 2 AA Rosette Restaurant looks out over Chesil Beach, The Fleet and the open sea; on a sunny day, there’s nothing like it. Under the guidance of talented Head Chef, Tony Smith, guests of all ages enjoy the very best in modern British/French Cuisine with an emphasis placed on the use of the freshest local produce available.
Tony’s food is classical in technique with a strong emphasis on flavour, simplicity and style. Dorset has a wealth of fine local produce which, where possible, he will try to source. He is always willing to discuss menus and tries to accommodate dietary requirements whenever he can.
Breakfasts and lunches are when the restaurant is alive with the buzz of family dining. In the evening, it’s a place of intimate fine dining as parents relax after a busy, fun-filled day. The relaxed atmosphere is perfect for an intimate table for two or convivial occasion with friends.
In the warmer months, our fabulous decked patio provides a sheltered sun-trap in which you can enjoy an al fresco lunch, dinner or one of our renowned summer barbecues.
