Pacific 23 at The Nelson
Close to Mudeford Quay is the popular Public House, The Nelson Tavern, and equally famous among the locals is the adjoined Thai restaurant, Pacific 23.
Since opening in Easter 2008, the restaurant has developed quite a following thanks to its authentic Thai menu and modern setting. The relaxed and friendly ambience welcomes regulars and new faces alike, and offers a chance to enjoy live acoustic music on most Fridays and Sundays.
The menu has been put together to include classic Thai favourites, together with a selection of daily specials. Set menus are available, as well as an extensive selection of individual dishes, all of which can be adapted to suit your individual taste.
As well as buying ingredients from reputable local suppliers, the restaurant also has its own lobster tank ensuring diners the very freshest produce.
Pacific 23 offers an extensive wine and beer selection and a good selection of champagnes. They will also be adding to their already wide range of speciality teas from all over Asia in 2009. Promising to be the finest selection outside of Harrods and the House of Commons, they will provide a unique extra experience for tasting ceremonial teas brewed in the traditional way.
The restaurant is popular for birthdays and other celebrations, seating up to 70 inside. There is also an outside seating area for summer evenings, and on-site parking.
