The Trusty Servant Inn
The Trusty Servant is one of those hidden gems tucked away in a neat little community in the heart of the New Forest. The area is steeped in history and is even mentioned in the Domesday Book.
This is a ‘gastro pub’ done to perfection, with the perfect blend of contemporary and traditional styling. Four open roaring fires and five real ales as well as a comprehensive wine list makes this is a place for the lonely dog walker in his wellies, couples who want somewhere relaxed to unwind, and families out for a day trip.
The Inn is open seven days a week: lunch is served from 12-2.30pm (3pm at weekends), with dinner available from
6-10pm.
The chef draws on modern inspiration with simple execution and the menu is set to constantly adapt to the seasons. Because they use local produce, and make everything by hand – including chutneys – the menus change regularly. They are currently planning a vegetable and herb garden, and will be keeping chickens to supply their eggs in the near future.
