Yalbury Cottage is a cosy Dorset hotel with a child-friendly family atmosphere and wonderful views, proudly run by new owners Jamie and Ariane Jones.

As well as comfortable rooms and excellent food, small, bespoke weddings and parties are a speciality. Yalbury also offers a great alternative venue for private business meetings with easy and ample parking.

The lounge and restaurant are situated in the oldest part of the cottage and are full of character, with oak-beamed ceilings, inglenook fireplaces and exposed stone walls.

The restaurant offers excellent cuisine and reasonably priced wines in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. The lounge and restaurant provide the perfect setting for an intimate dinner, private lunch party or family celebration.

Jamie strongly believes in bringing cooking back to its purest form, choosing only the finest raw ingredients from the best suppliers in the county. He says: “I want to produce creative but classical French menus for Yalbury Cottage, using only the best seasonal British fish, meat, vegetables and dairy products available locally, so a lot of emphasis will be made on visiting suppliers in the area, searching for the best produce”. The menu changes daily with the season and produce available, therefore the dishes shown may not be available when you visit.
