Stop Press! el Gourmet recently came to an event near you!! el Gourmet supported Dorset & Hampshire food week, did you see us at one of the following events?
The Food Show 2009 at the Romsey Show Broadlands Park, Romsey 12th September 2009 This was a massive event with over 25,000 people attending. This is a real agricultural and country show celebrating local food and supporting local businesses in the industry.
We were part of the Food Show area where top Hampshire Chef’s demonstrated their skills. There was a farmers market and several restaurants and hotels offering samples of their food and finest wines.

The Feast of Dorset Deans Court, Wimborne 19th & 20th September 2009 This event was held over 2 days. Here we had an exhibition stand in the Grand Bazaar Producer’s tent; we also sponsored the Crèche and had a large presence at the celebrity chefs cooking show.

Kitchen Table Dorset with Mark Hix Mark’s Home & Restaurant Once a month through to December An exclusive opportunity for 8 people to have a cooking class with Mark Hix. Mark featured in the el Gourmet guide when it was first released and in return we are supporting him with his Kitchen Table event.

Bite the Lighthouse The Lighthouse Theatre, Poole Sunday 25th October Bite the Lighthouse is part of Screen Bites, Dorset's Food & Film Festival. This day was all about films and food. In the foyer and first floor area there was a farmers and producers market, then in the theatre there was cabaret star Barb Jungr, Chef demonstrations by Lesley Walters, Ese Kousin from West Beach, Rose Prince from the Daily Telegraph, Paddy Davy from the Museum at Farnham and Philippa Davis from Mudchute Kitchen.
